RABIYA ALI FARIDI | HEAD LIBRARIAN | NOTRE DAME INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION
Rabiya Ali Faridi is working as a Head Librarian at Notre Dame Institute of Education Karachi.
She is a Media Secretary of a well-known Library Organization PLC, Pakistan Library Club. The Pakistan Library Club provides a platform to professional Librarians working in various libraries in Pakistan, PLC’s main aim is to provide professional leadership and support to working Librarians in order to enhance their potential. PLC has different chapters in Pakistan and in abroad, under the supervision of The Director PLC Mr. Arshad Mahmood Abbasi
Besides Librarianship Ms. Rabiya is also contributing in an Editorial board of Online Library Magazine name” Sada-e-Librarian, under the guidance of the chief Editor Mr. Ashraf Shakoori.
She Has Explored German Libraries in February 2018 and wrote a detailed Safar-Nama on Germany Libraries in Urdu Magazine “Adab-o-kutab-khana under the supervision of Dr. Nasim Fatima The living legend of Librarianship.
Her different writings have been published in several journals and magazines, recently she has written a chapter of a book in an international book under the title “Cooperation and Collaboration Initiatives for Libraries and Related Institutions” with Mr. Ikram-ul-haq.
Her story has been published in a short story book “The Room in the Mausoleum” by Sheba Sultan a young author of two books.
Being a library professional she has conducted several workshops and trainings for School and college librarians at Notre Dame Institute of Education (NDIE).
Rabiya is also a part of Pakistan Library Club newsletter name “Pakistan Library connects” and Notre Dame Newsletter.
Rabiya is a member of The Arts Council of Pakistan.
