Shahid Bukhari is an Advocate by profession, he also served as a banker. He also remained lecturer in Government College Sargodhah. In literary activities, he is famous column writer, he also remained General Secretary of various famous Urdu literary organizations. He is also member of many literary forums and actively participates in literary activities. He is President of Universal Islami Esperanto Association.

He did his law graduation in 1970, and also completed his M.A in year 1972.

He remained General Secretary of Adab Saraae International from year 1997 to year 2011, while his stay he organized 100s of literary programs, including but not limited to new book launching, overseas literary guests special evenings, special day programs, Mushaeray,Quid Day, Iqbal Day programs, Eid & New Year special programs, Jashan-e-Baharan Programs and many other programs.
He also remain associated with top of the line newspaper where he was used to publish monthly and annual reports and special featured reports.

Apart from Adab Saraae International he served as a General Secretary to Halqa-e-Arbab-e-Sukhan (Since 2007) as Secretary Information to Human Development Forum, Secretary to Thinkers Forum etc.

He is also member of Halqa Arbab-e-Zoq, Pak Writers Guide, Acadmy Adbiat Pakistan, Muaawin Editer Monthly Adab e Lateef, Column Nigaar Akhbar-e-Jahan, Nikhaar. Legal advisor to Dastak & Adab Sarae International. President, Universal Islami Esperanto Association.

Time to time, he was awarded with Medals, Certificates and Special Shields against his committed services and literary excellence. He is well known, well connected and well respected in local and international literary community.
